ROOPENA PLAYERS CHOSEN TO REPRESENT WHYALLA

Congratulations to the following girls for being selected to participate in the Whyalla Netball Combined Squad.
Chelsea Lawson
Ashlee Ellis
Shanae Nielsen
Brodee Richards
Sally Virgo
Chloe Boundey
Jessica Cummings
Alex Eades
Chelsea Walker
All of these Roopena players have recently competed in the Spencer Gulf carnival held in Port Augusta. Whyalla played in three grand finals but were not able to secure a win on the day.
Our Congratulations also go to Sally Virgo and Natasha Lawson for earning a place in the U13 Country Championship Team. This team will travel to Adelaide on the June Long Weekend to represent Whyalla in the State Country Championships.
We would also like to wish Ashlee Ellis and Sally Virgo the best of luck as they try out for the Regional Netball Academy on May 31st, 2009. This academy is made up of players from the Spencer Gulf.
